SplashID written up in PC Today

PC Today recommended SplashID as a security solution for portable devices in an article entitled, "Safe & Secure: Lock Down Your Portable Devices" their October 2006 issue. Here is the excerpt:

"SplashData SplashID ($29.95; www.splashdata.com) strongly encrypts, stores, and password protects sensitive information in a secure database you can access and edit from your computer. Not only can you load personal contact and financial information, but you can also add client contact information, company price sheets, and anything you can organize by fields into a spreadsheet-style format. The program, which is available for handhelds and mobile phones, generates a nifty screen filled with recognizable icons to help you access the data quickly."

SplashID for BlackBerry Press Release

We just posted our press release regarding our BlackBerry release of SplashID:

SplashData Brings its Popular SplashID Application to BlackBerry Users

SplashID gives BlackBerry users the ability to create and organize user names, passwords, credit card numbers and PINs in an encrypted database. Designed for both functionality and ease of use, SplashID has a long list of features that provide enhanced security and convenience. Included PC software allows the user's encrypted password database to be synchronized between the BlackBerry handset and a notebook or desktop computer.

"With over five million users, BlackBerry has become much more than a solution for wireless e-mail. People are now also using BlackBerry for secure, wireless access to company intranet and other business applications as well as browsing Web sites that contain content that requires a user name and password," said Morgan Slain, CEO of SplashData. "We have repeatedly been asked for BlackBerry support by individual users of SplashID. We're delighted to now have a solution available for the dynamic and growing BlackBerry market."

PalmAddicts review of SplashTravel

We are grateful for all the reviews that PalmAddicts has done of our applications. They sure do keep an eye on us.

The latest is for SplashTravel:

"I have to admire Splasdata for developing another winner. Splash Travel is priced perfectly given its range of tools and is an excellent choice for hardcore travellers and occassional users alike. The program will definitely be staying on my Treo and will get a great deal of use regardless of whether I am travelling over a weekend or a month."

SplashID for BlackBerry update - 3.41

We fixed a bug that caused the following error on the handheld app:

Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException

We also changed the handheld file names to be a little friendlier. So if you install the update from 3.4, you will notice that when you go to the SplashID program folder to add the ALX file, you will find both SplashIDProj.alx and SplashID.alx. You should choose the latter.
