Does anyone know if SplashData will be making applications for the Apple iPhone or iTouch?

I have a Palm Zire 72 and it has been failing. I love the SplashShopper and would like to have an iTouch, but the apps are currently very slim. Based on the MacWorld converence, Apple is opening up to allow third party development of applications for widgets on the iPhone and iTouch.

Any insight would be appriciated.

We do plan to support the iPhone soon, using either a web based version of SplashID or a native version once the SDK is released. SplashShopper is a likely follow-up project.

If you would like to be notified if and when an iPhone compatible version is available, please fill out this form:

I just wanted to let you know that after purchasing my iPhone last summer that your application is the only thing that is keeping my Treo alive. Not only that, but I am forced to use the Treo since the iPhone has NOTHING to compare to your product. My main purpose in writing is to find out if you are planning an iPhone version. I certainly hope so!

Thank You!

I see after posting my comment that you do have plans for the iPhone. Great news, but I hope that it will not be web based, I am very afraid that that would make your product unusable, just as the popular OneTrip is pretty unusable for me (compared to your Treo product anyway).
